The Kumasi Indian Association (KIA) is a non-profit cultural and social group founded by the Indian community residing in Kumasi, Ghana. Officially established on 29th May 2025 and registered under the Companies Act, 2019 (Act 992),

KIA provides a platform for :

  • Staying connected to Indian heritage
  • Supporting one another
  • Serving society through meaningful community engagement

๐Ÿ“ Our community gathers regularly at the Hindu Monastery Temple in Daban, Kumasi โ€” a cherished spiritual and cultural venue for hosting events and activities.


Kumasi Indian Association (KIA) was born through the efforts of passionate community members during the first meeting at the Hindu Monastery Temple โ€“ Daban.

Key steps taken at the formation include :

  • โœ๏ธ Drafting the Associationโ€™s Bye-laws
  • ๐Ÿง‘โ€๐Ÿคโ€๐Ÿง‘ Proposing a formal committee
  • ๐Ÿšง Planning temple infrastructure upgrades (wiring & road construction)
  • ๐Ÿค Initiating sponsorships and community fund strategies

This laid the foundation for a new journey in cultural unity, pride, and service.


To unite the Indian community in Kumasi, promote Indian culture and values, offer social support, and serve society through charitable and cultural activities.


To be a vibrant, united, and respected community that:

  • Builds harmony with Ghanaian society
