Accra, Ghana – December 21, 2024 : The Ghana Indian Malayalee Association (GIMA) celebrated the joy of Christmas with a heartfelt charity drive at the City of God School in Fadama. The school supports the education of 120 children from families facing economic hardships, and GIMA’s initiative aimed to brighten their festive season.
As part of the celebration, GIMA distributed food baskets to all 120 students. Each basket was thoughtfully packed with essential items, including rice, foodstuffs, tissues, juices, water, beans, and other supplies—ensuring that the children and their families could enjoy a fulfilling and joyful Christmas.
The children added to the festive atmosphere with a wonderful dance performance and a heartwarming group song, showcasing their talent and enthusiasm.
The event took place on December 21, 2024, at 3 PM at the City of God School. Mr. Santosh Nair, GIMA President, along with committee members, personally presented the gifts to the children, spreading smiles and holiday cheer.In his speech, Mr. Santosh Nair expressed heartfelt gratitude to Fr. Subash Chittilapally for his vision and efforts in shaping the future of these children.
This initiative was made possible through the generous contributions of sponsors from the community, reflecting GIMA’s ongoing commitment to supporting the underprivileged and fostering the spirit of giving during the holiday season.
